2 months later, I've finally got to wear this bad boy out. I have to say, for $34.95, it really was worth it! It's a wool blend, so it keeps me nice and warm, and is an entirely different kind of coat from the one I wore ALL of last year (see here).

(Coat; H&M, Cardigan (not seen); Talula via Aritzia, Dress; H&M, Belt; Joe Fresh, Shoes; Joe Fresh, Satchel; Danier Leather).
The one thing that I have to complain about, is the wool is kind of itchy, by kind of I mean, REALLY. Mainly because I have extremely eczema prone skin, so if you plan on hunting this coat down, beware.
This is what my outfit looked like without the coat on, see what a difference the coat makes? Adds a nice classic touch without looking too formal.

P.S. I've become such a pro at these jumping shots with the remote, I should list it as a skill on my resumé.
P.P.S. Yes, the tights are out, unfortunately. It's gotten quite chilly in the mornings and at night. Plus, I'm a huge wimp.

I really like your jacket! It looks really nice with your outfit :)

If I bought a wool coat while living in SoCal, I'd get weird stares. I mean up until a few days ago, it was still 90-something degrees out. The coat really does look goon on you Jess! It is classic, and it's always a plus when boyfriends agree with a purchase too! ;)
ReplyDeleteGosh I wish I could find a cute coat! I seem to get so cold so easily and I can never find a "fashion" coat that looks good while doing its primary job. Love your steal though! H&M can be such a hit or miss - glad it worked out for you!

Your outfits are so cute! Glad to have found your blog <3
ReplyDeleteBest,
Colour Me Classic
I bought 2 trench coats from H&M this year too. I can't wait to wear them. It's such a good "investment" in Vancouver, where it's freezing most of the year.
